Scoping Meeting: Notice of Preparation to Prepare a Program Environmental Impact Report

On Wednesday, September 13, 2017, the City of Folsom held a scoping meeting to share information about the preparation of a Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR) for the Folsom 2035 General Plan. The public review period for the Notice of Preparation is from August 17, 2017 to September 18, 2017. The City is soliciting comments on specific issues to be included in the environmental analysis, and this meeting is part of that effort.
The PEIR will analyze Land Use and Circulation Diagrams, goals, policies, and implementation programs, and a range of alternatives to the proposed Folsom 2035 General Plan.

On Tuesday, April 2, 2013, the City of Folsom held its first community workshop for the 2035 General Plan Update. The workshop engaged participants in interactive exercises to help the City better understand what residents like and what they would like to see changed to make our city even better.

Housing Element Update Community/Stakeholder Workshop

On Tuesday March 19, 2013, the City of Folsom invited the community and local stakeholders to participate in a workshop. The purpose of the workshop was to provide an overview of the Housing Element Update process and solicit input on policy approaches to address the housing challenges facing Folsom. Participants were asked to share their thoughts on the following questions:
- What are the major housing issues that should be addressed in the Housing Element?
- What are the barriers to affordable housing in Folsom?
- What can be done to address these issues and barriers?
